Landscaped with lovely gardens that also feature the palm trees that give the resort its name, this resort is situated very close to Benaulim beach. Calangute Beach

Calangute is one of the famous beaches in Goa and the tourist season is during the Decemebr -January and April-May. During monsoon, swimming in the sea is prohibited.

Condolim Beach

Candolim beautiful section of beach in the continuum of Calangute has been largely overrun by tourist shops, restaurants and hotels. Nice area to stay for people interested in shopping and dining close to beach front accommodation. A bit too expensive for the backpacker crowd though. Candolim beach is another relatively busy soft sandy beach that due to erosion can be narrow in some places.

Dudh Sagar Waterfall

Dudh Sagar Waterfall is one of the highest water falls in India, and among the hundred highest waterfalls in the world. It lies in the southern part of Goa at Mollem, towards the border with Karnataka state. Dudh Sagar, literally means a Sea of Milk in the local Konkanni language, and gets its name as it appears like an overflowing sea of milk. It has a total height of 306 meters and a width of 30 meters. The water fall is at its peak flow during the monsoon months from June to September and wanes out towards the summers from March to June. Dudh Sagar Falls is listed as India”s 5th tallest waterfall,and is 227th in the world at 310 m.

Margao

Margao is Goa’s second largest town and a bustling commercial centre. The town of Margao was once a major religious centre, with dozens of wealthy temples and dharmshalas (dormitories). In fact the name Margao is thought to be the Portuguese corruption of the word Mathgram (from Math – a Hindu religious centre that used to exist there.

Panaji

Panaji is the capital of the Indian state of Goa. It lies on the banks of the Mandovi estuary, in the district of North Goa.Panaji is Goa’s third largest city after Vasco and Margao.The climate in Panaji is hot in summers and pretty good in winter. During summers (from March to May) the temperature reaches up to 40°C and in winters (from December to February) it is usually between 32°C and 20°C.The Monsoon period is from June to September with average rainfall and heavy winds.
